If Weight Loss Comes Second, What Comes First?

When you think of one thing that would make you feel better and make your life better, you probably often think about losing weight.

You think, if you lose the extra weight, then your life gets better.

Sister, I have news for you. If you think that, then you definitely have it twisted.

I have seen so much on social media about workouts, protein goals, walking targets, macros and all the things related to the right way to lose weight, tone up and get healthy.

The truth is, all of the above are important, however they don’t come FIRST.

What comes first is your motivation.

What comes first is learning how to keep going through the hard times, through the challenging days, through the setbacks, through the overeats, through the disappointments and stress of everyday life as a human on earth.

Anyone can embark upon a weight loss journey, but if you think that you are going to try again the same old way as you have a thousand and one times, what makes you think that you  will do it “better” this time?

I know this to be true: Once you get your mental house in order, then the weight loss comes with incredible ease.

I never would have believed it until I lived it and did it for myself.

And now I’ve coached many other women to achieve the body and life of their dreams.

Stop thinking you are weak, stop thinking you are unable, stop thinking it’s too late.

You don’t need to figure this out alone.

One of the thing my clients love the most about me (besides that I’m an amazing coach and I happen to be a physician as well) is that I have also been coached to my level of success.

I definitely didn’t know anything when I started. That sounds crazy coming from a doctor, but it’s 100% true. These are the skills that they definitely don’t teach us in medical school.

Mentorship for mental resilience and developing the skills of self-love, empowerment, and discipline are the keys to creating a version of yourself that lives with confidence, authenticity, and alignment.

It’s definitely not an empty existence of shame and worry or one of just “good enough” - no one wants that - be real with yourself, the only thing stopping you is that you probably aren’t believing you can be healthier, more present, in a healthy-sized body as you intentionally preserve the health of your brain and body for many years to come.

I’m here to tell you that you absolutely can build yourself to the most powerful iteration. You just need the right steps in the correct order to do it right, and do it for the last time. The rest is easy.

Start with your vision and start to build trust in yourself. Once you learn how to do that, your body will naturally reach its correct size and your life will definitely be better as a result in more ways than one.
